Wakefield Council are the relevant authority for the West Yorkshire Eastern Area Coroner's Service which covers the local authority areas of Leeds and Wakefield City Councils. The Coroner's Service are relocating into new purpose-built premises within Wakefield City Centre. The new facility will house the Coroner's Services Team and 2 new Courts, one of which will hear Jury Inquests. Wakefield Council are seeking to instal within both Courts an I.T solution to digitally record the Inquest proceedings and allow for Virtual Attendance of witnesses via Teams, Video Link and Skype. It is essential that the system is compatible with the Justice Video Network and the Civica Legal Case Management System. Evidence presentation is essential with the requirement for Large Display screens and monitors for the Coroner, Court Usher and Jury members.
