Mace have been appointed as Technical Project Manager in the delivery of a new Main Line Museum for Great Central Railway. As part of our appointment, we are coordinating and managing, on behalf of Great Central Railway, the procurement of a project team.The Great Central Railway (GCR) plc has received a First Round Pass from the Heritage Lottery Fund with a total allocation of 10 000 000 GBP to create a new national heritage railway museum in Leicester. Working in partnership with Leicester City Council (LCC) and the National Railway Museum (NRM) the museum will house locomotives, carriages, items and artefacts from the national collection and will be located on the site of the GCR's Leicester North terminal station situated at The Sidings, Off Redhill Way, Leicester LE4 3BR.
