Finance and Business Manager About The Role -Managing project finances and providing input to business cases -Supporting delivery managers, leading on costing initiatives and new activities, validating supplier costings using cross government benchmarking -Negotiating and managing cross-government Memorandum of Understanding; agreeing Defra costs for shared sites and services -Monitoring, forecasting and reporting on spend against budget -Writing business cases and reports to committees and to HMT as needed -Managing team resourcing, ensuring vacancies are identified, defined and filled at key points -Managing relationships with contractor agencies and the resourcing team -Supporting interview process and inductions -Leading on staff engagement and corporate engagement initiatives -Represent the team on corporate and programme wider activities and forums, feeding back and building a collaborative approach within the team -Support the relationship with internal and external project stakeholders. Identify and manage collaborative relationships. Actively engage senior level support when required. -Lead on delivery assurance and lessons learnt -Lead on co-ordination of reviews, audits and inspections -Communicate project vision and status effectively, using established meetings such as the project and programme boards. Ensure visibility of project status to appropriate stakeholders. -Ensure that on-going service management is in place post go-live of the project.
