To improve health and safety standards and upgrade gas storage and supply provision in accordance with best practice guidance and statutory compliance at the following locations.-Chemistry facilities in Grove building:Ground Floor level-Toxic Gas Store (room ST07)-Gas Manifold Room (room 178)-Gas Store (room 180)Second Floor level-Gas Manifold Room (ST02_02), at Second Floor level-Gas Manifold Room (ST04_02), at Second Floor levelThird Floor level-Gas Manifold Room (STO1_03), at Third Floor level-Medical School facilities in various locations:Grove building-Gas Manifold Room 116, at Ground Floor level-Lab 117, at Ground Floor level-Lab 166C, at Ground Floor levelTalbot building-Lab 280/280A, at Second Floor levelILS 1 building-Lab 326a, at Third Floor level.-Wallace BuildingGas store (no room number)Labs (rooms No. 019A, 019C, 019D and 019E).Remove and/or reduce health and safety risks associated with current gas storage and supply provision at the above locations.Reduction in gas cylinder provision (in use and stored) within existing labs and gas store.All of the above works are associated with buildings located at Swansea University’s Singleton Park Campus. The design and installation must be compliant with all relevant industry sector guidance, including but not limited to the following:1.CP4 - Industrial Gas Cylinder Manifolds and Gas Distribution Pipework2.CP18- The safe storage, handling and use of special gases3.CP44 -The Storage of Gas Cylinders.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
