The HRBThe Health Research Board (HRB) is a statutory agency under the aegis of the Department of Health. The HRB’s mission is to support research that improves people's health, promotes evidence-informed care and creates solutions to societal challenges. Our vison is ‘better health through excellent research, data and evidence’.Our main areas of activity are:•Funding research proposals on the basis of open competition and peer review, and managing approximately 300 active research grants. Funding is awarded on the basis of open competition and peer review, and most awards are made to universities. •Conducting evidence reviews to underpin decision-making in health•Managing data collections in the areas of alcohol and drug treatment and deaths, disability, and psychiatric admissions and discharges.•Managing the National Drugs Library, a specialist information resource for health practitioners, researchers and policy makers in the drug and alcohol field.An overview of the HRB’s objectives and activities may be found in The HRB Strategy 2021-2025, Health research - making an impact, (https://www.hrb.ie/strategy-2025/).Services requiredThe HRB invites tenders for the provision of Subscriptions to electronic bibliographic databases for the HRB Evidence Centre and National Drugs Library for an initial one-year period commencing In December 2022 (except for Embase, which will be supplied from 01 July 2023 – 30 June 2024) using a multi supplier Framework agreement.HRB has WTE staff of 93.5, based in a single office location or working offsite with remote access to our network and resources:The tender process will allow the establishment of a multi supplier framework and the HRB will use a matrix that will allow them to cascade down each year and appoint the supplier that best suits the requirements of that year.Tender responses will be ranked and placed in a matrix and drawdown will be by cascade on an annual basis.
