Lamby Way Solar Farm - Private Wire Construction Procurement

Cardiff City Council have a newly constructed 9MW solar farm installed on a former landfill site at Lamby Way. Construction has taken place during the summer of 2020 and is now practically complete. The site has two connection points – the first is on site to the local DNO network and is out of scope for this work. The second connection is a private wire supply to the Welsh Water site in Rover Way. This tender is for the installation and testing of the cable between the Lamby Way site and the Welsh Water site.At the Lamby Way end the works extend to the connection of the cables from the contracted works to cable which will be presented to the retrieval pit for the directional drill on the east side of the river Rhymney. This contract is responsible for the jointing of the cables.
