WCBC invites tenders from suitably licensed waste disposal contractors / haulage companies for the collection, transportation and disposal of landfill leachate from two former landfill sites.The Llay site, situated off the Llay New Road (B5425) at National Grid Reference 332990 354510, has an internal access constructed of Grasscrete leading to a fenced compound housing a central leachate collection chamber from which leachate can be pumped to a collecting road tanker.The Llan-y-pwll site, situated off the old Holt Road (formerly the A534) which now runs parallel to the recently constructed Wrexham Industrial Estate Access Road (now the A534), at National Grid Reference 336000 351800, has a hard-surfaced road leading to the single leachate collection chamber.
