Management of ash trees adjacent to the Ashford road and network rail

Maidstone Borough Council recently commissioned a tree safety survey. This work was undertaken by Tim Moya associates. A large amount of work on Ash trees along the Ashford road was identified within the report. Mote Park is a heritage listed parkland with 54,000 trees. This includes 7,500 ash trees The biodiversity within the site is considerable and the Park is a local wildlife site. Mote Park has 10 Bat species recorded. This makes Mote Park the most bat species diverse site in Kent. Maidstone Borough Council (the Council) is obtaining quotations to award a contract to a suitably experienced and qualified organisation to: Manage the removal and reduction of all Ash trees within the designated area and locate the resulting wood around the park in agreed places.
