* Contract Award Notice *Newport City Council (hereinafter the Council) invites tenders from experienced contractors to upgrade pedestrian access at four discrete sites (access has been lost due to the poor condition of boardwalks and bridges) within Pilton Vale Park (a public park). The park lies in a residential area of Newport.The work involves: removal of timber boardwalk, posts, steps, supply and installation of new bridges and boardwalk in recycled plastic, minor ground reprofiling to reinstate steps, new chippings paths, small length of tarmac path, branch removal and coppicing.Location: three discrete sites along the main stream corridor, one within woodland. Vehicle access is from Pillmawr Road, Newport
