Natural Resources Wales (Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru) is looking to commission a contractor to construct a fluvial flood risk scheme in Risca, South Wales.Risca falls within the top ten of NRW’s communities at risk register in south east Wales.This is a collaborative project with Caerphilly Borough County Council.Works will deliver the aim of reducing existing fluvial flood risk of the River Ebbw to people and property within Crosskeys, Risca and Pontmister areas to provide a 1 in 100yr SoP.The works are anticipated to include:•two new defences at Waunfawr Park cricket field 80m (wall), 40m (bund) and New Park Road 160m (wall), 120m (bund).•a series of bund and wall modifications to existing defences across the length of the study area.
