The Public Health Specialty Training Programme in Wales trains individuals to the level required for award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and thus eligibility for inclusion on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register for Public Health Medicine or generalist specialist consultant level accreditation with the United Kingdom Public Health Register (UKPHR).The nominal training capacity for the training scheme in Wales is 21 Speciality Registrars or around 18 whole time equivalents.The principle objectives of the procurement are to:•support all Public Health Specialty Registrars for 3 years (average of 4 Specialty Registrars / year) in their preparation for Part A exam through organizing tutorials and mock exams in line with the FPH Curriculum 2015 and Part A Syllabus:•Ensure a pass rate of at least 80% at first sitting of the Part A MFPH examination for registrars on the Public Health speciality training scheme.•Ensure a pass rate of 100% by the third sitting of the Part A MFPH examination for registrars on the Public Health speciality training scheme.•Provide a named individual to direct, or ensure the provision of, support for the preparation of the part A MFPH examination for registrars on the Public Health speciality training scheme.•Ensure value for money principles are adhered to via a procurement provisioned to support a national service.For further information please visit the eTenderWales portal for the full specification.
