Tenders are invited to bid for a 'Turnkey' project at Barts Health NHS Trust for the decommissioning of a range of medical and associated equipment.The decommissioning is as a result of the transfer of services from their current location into Phase 2 as part of a 1 billion PFI programme.The equipment is located at the London Chest Hospital, St Bartholomew's Hospital and the Royal London Hospital.The equipment includes, for example but is not limited to; X-ray, MRI, Ultrasound, Dental, Radiopharmacy, Chemotherapy, Nuclear Medicine, Theatre Equipment, Engineering and various other medical and non-medical devices.The Project would include taking responsibility for all costs including for example but not limited to; removal costs, disposal, builders work costs, specialist removal and compliance with all Regulations, craneage costs, access routes, public protection or resale in order to maximise the value at auction or similar.The decommissioning period is likely to begin in the Spring of 2014 and end in the Spring of 2015.The Turnkey company will be required to work closely with the Trust to ensure deadlines are kept and minimal disruption of the existing services by following an agreed programme and sequence.
