Early Market Engagement The Department for Energy, Security and Net Zero will be hosting an online market engagement event on Thursday 24th August 2023 at 10:00. Heat Network Zoning is the process whereby geographic areas are identified where heat networks are the lowest cost, low carbon solution for heating. The intention is to set up a technical services framework for undertaking heat network zoning studies as well as to support to the zoning programme delivery. The framework will be focused on delivering heat network zoning studies for approximately 170 towns and cities in England as well as the delivery/ taking to market approximately 15 heat network zones under the advanced zoning programme in order to ensure that zoning ready to be rolled out across England once the zoning policy (under the Energy Bill) comes into effect in 2025. Services provided in delivering zoning studies would include technical engineering, commercial and project/ stakeholder management.
