Capillary electrophoresis system capable of meeting the following requirements: •Laboratory scale, dimensions allow for placement on standard laboratory bench •Ability to perform automated separation of charged biomolecules on size via electrophoresis (i.e. CE-SDS) •Ability to perform automated separation of proteins based on their pI values (i.e. cIEF) a.Produce results in less than 2 hours b.Run a minimum of 10 samples per separation. c.Separation down to 5-10kDa. d.Produce quantitative & purity profiles e.UV & fluorescence detector (optional) f.Run native and reduced electrophoresis •A single device must be able to perform both pI/size separations a.Be able to switch between the two technologies •Export data •Provide preventative maintenance / servicing
