The Shared Waters Enhancement and Loughs Legacy (SWELL) project is supported by the European Union’s INTERREG VA Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.The SWELL project’s aim is to improve the water quality, within the shared waters of Carlingford Lough and Lough Foyle. Through strategic catchment investigations and modelling, the SWELL project is planned to deliver optimised, sustainable capital upgrades to wastewater assets.The scope of the required survey works are required in three towns as follows;Lifford•A detailed flow and rainfall survey•Detailed surveys of two stormwater overflows at the Letterkenny Road roundabout•Detailed survey of bifurcation chamber on Main Street•Detailed survey of Sally Gardens Pumping Station, including a drop test at that pumping station•Detailed survey of satellite pumping stations, including a drop test at those pumping stations•Impermeable Area Survey•CCTV/manhole survey of existing / new sewers at main N13 roundabout to confirm connectivity•Manhole surveys of existing sewers where data was not obtained in 2013 survey.Carrigans•CCTV/manhole survey of existing sewers entering the existing septic tankOmeath•A detailed flow and rainfall survey•Dye testing of surface water drainage systems in private properties
