Leicestershire County Council, 'the Authority', wish to put in place a service level contract for the management of the Whetstone Transfer Station and Recycling and Household Waste Site (Civic Amenity Site) (for the avoidance of doubt, a 'civic amenity' (CA) is a place provided by a local authority in accordance to 'Section 51 – functions of waste disposal authorities' of the Environmental Protection Act 1990). The contract will include the management of a transfer station accepting WCA collected waste, commercial and industrial waste; a gully emptying and street sweeping dewatering facility; and a civic amenity site. The contract will include the haulage of waste and recyclable material.
