MK1 project will renew 150 track km of overhead line equipment along an important commuter and freight route between Fenchurch Street and Pitsea. MK1 is a mid-life OLE renewal project, 143 wire run replacements over a track distance of just under 150 kilometres plus 99 replacement and new OLE masts.o renew 115 wire runs over 120 Single Track Kilometres:•recovery of existing contact wire and catenary, small part steel and cantilevers;•recovery of redundant OLE masts;•validation of materials already procured and transport to site;•supply of materials where not already procured;•installation of contact wire and catenary, small part steel and cantilevers;•installation of new OLE masts onto foundations installed by others;•commissioning and providing hand back documentation.
