Conwy County Borough Council wishes to appoint a suitable supplier to organise and manage a major event, which is scheduled to take place in Parc Eirias, Colwyn Bay.The Parc Eirias Events Arena can hold up to 20,000 people. The event is provisionally booked for Friday 27th July and Saturday 28th July 2012.A critical success factor for this event will be the Artists the Supplier secures to perform at the event.The 2012 event, which is to be held in Parc Eirias, Colwyn Bay is outlined below:Parc Eirias in Colwyn Bay has recently undergone a massive re-vamp and Conwy County Borough Council would like to showcase its potential as a major events arena by hosting an event of significance that will have the ability to attract significant numbers of people to the area.Conwy County Borough Council believe that there is an opening for a concert venue in North Wales and would like this event to recognise Parc Eirias as a strategic event space for the region, with the ability to also attract audiences from the North West of England and the Midlands.This will be the first major event to take place in the site since the re-vamp and will be linked into both community activities and a live screening of the Olympics on the first night (both of which will be free of charge), followed by a chargeable major open air music concert on the second night hosting a minimum of 10,000 people.
