Constructing Excellence in Wales is seeking tenders from prospective Delivery Agents for inspection services against PAS 402/Green Compass Scheme, commencing January 2011. CEW will generate a list of competent organisations capable of meeting the specification and approved Delivery Agents will be required to carry out the inspection of the organisations prepared to meet the PAS 402 Green Compass Scheme requirements. Alternatively and subject to UKAS regulation, CEW may decide to award the contract to one appropriately qualified and experienced Delivery Agent.Prospective Delivery Agents should be UKAS accredited to provide inspection services to waste management organisations in Wales, ideally with accreditation for PAS 402: 2009 Waste Resource Management – Specification for Performance Reporting or be working towards accreditation. The businesses will be predominantly SME’s located within the Convergence region as defined within the Welsh European funding programme for 2007-13 however there is an objective of ensuring full regional representation of waste management businesses for the Scheme.A minimum of 50 waste management businesses will be presented for inspection with the majority of the costs for the assessment funded through the Green Compass project.
