The Commission for Regulation of Utilities (“CRU”) is Ireland’s independent energy and water regulator. The CRU was originally established as the Commission for Energy Regulation (“CER”) in 1999. The CRU’s mission is to protect the public interest in Water, Energy and Energy Safety. The work of the CRU impacts every Irish home and business. The sectors we regulate underpin Irish economic competitiveness, investment and growth, while also contribute to our international obligations to address climate change.The CRU is committed to playing its role to help deliver a secure, low carbon future at the least possible cost, while ensuring energy is supplied safely, empowered and protected customers pay reasonable prices and we deliver a sustainable, reliable and efficient future for energy and water.The CRU is guided by four strategic priorities that sit alongside the core activities we undertake to deliver on the public interest. The CRU privacy notice is available at https://www.cru.ieThe CRU website is the primary tool used for communicating with energy and water customers, industry professionals and a wide range of other stakeholders in the public and private sectors. CRU is in the process of launching a new website which is expected to go-live during Q4 2022.The Service Provider under this contract will be required to further develop, optimise and improve the website over the new contract term. This will include, but is not limited to, continuous improvement of the end user experience, enhancement of design, and the addition of new services and / or functionality to take advantage of advances in digital design and innovation. Support and maintenance of the Wagtail website is also required.
