Descriptions
In summary under this contract the successful tenderer shall be responsible for: Civil works to facilitate the undergrounding of overhead services and construction of 484m length of footpath (2m wide) at Rock Road in Killarney Town.The successful Tenderer will be required to carry out the role of Project Supervisor for the Construction Stage (PSCS) for the duration of the Project. Interested Tenderers are asked to complete all required accompanying documents (Pricing Document, Suitability Questionnaires etc.). The Tenderer who is deemed suitable and submits the Most Economically Advantageous Price will be awarded the contract.The existing footpath is to be removed and replaced with a newly constructed bitumen path to be 2m in width. The new path is to be constructed with limestone kerbs at the edge of pathway. Also, an existing 150mm EIR Duct which runs under the existing footpath is to be removed. Areas where the excavation, trenching and reinstatement for installation of services will vary between existing public/private concrete paths, kerbs, bitumen paths/ carriageway, grass lawns which must be reinstated. Trenching and ducting will take place under existing walls of private dwelling and business properties. (35 properties approx.). Boundary and dwelling walls are to remain unharmed.The corners (90 Degree) of the Boundary Walls at Dwelling No.8 & Dwelling No.9 are to be knocked and re – constructed at 45 Degrees to improve access to O’Kelly’s Villas. As can be seen in service maps, two watermains run parallel to the path for the length of the works (1 x 200mm & 1 x 225mm). It is vital that these 2 mains remain unharmed when carrying out the works.It is highly recommended that interested tenderers visit the site prior to pricing and review the area where works will take place. There are many varying aspects of this project such as trenching and reinstating through different surface materials and very high lawns.
