Descriptions
Maintenance and repair works are required to a range of structural defects which relate to (but may not be limited to):- Works comprises of 5 blocks of flats within similar low rise residential estates. The works involve: Repairs to external reinforced concrete access decks/landings and staircases including surface preparation, survey, break out, repair, selective use of corrosion inhibitors, surface treatment and protective coatings. In addition works include preparation, repair and over coating access deck/landings membranes and concrete staircases, renewing any movement joints in decks, removing existing painted galvanised metal railings to access decks/landings and staircases and arranging for specialist off-site treatment to remove paint, returning railings to site, reinstating and fitting new 'warm feel' handrail capping's and repairing areas of defective brickwork. Removal of existing precast concrete stairs comprising combined treads and riser units and replacing with new pre cast concrete steps fitted to existing precast concrete strings. Temporary staircases will be required to maintain access to dwellings where precast steps are being replaced.
