1019 Supply & Fit Dance Studio Flooring at the Performance Arts Centre for Excellence (PACE) - AWARD
Descriptions
The University is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Supplier for the sole purpose to supply & fit of Dance Studio Flooring at the Performance Arts Centre for Excellence (PACE). Rooms: 2.13 & 2.14- Dance Studios 2.15 & 2.16 - Rehearsal Studios 2.17- Theatre Studio The specifications are the following but not limited for basic requirements of a dance floor: Not too hard with just the right amount of "give" to avoid repetitive strain injuries, and not too soft which can be tiring and cause muscle fatigue. Responsiveness - Returning energy to lift the feet when moving but not too springy like a trampoline. It should not be too noisy in use. There should be an appropriate level of "traction" or "slip-resistance". Too much can block movement and cause the foot to twist. Too little and it can be dangerously slippery. Absorb energy of falls. Using a thick performance surface alone does not provide sufficient protection from serious injury and does therefore render it unsuitable for most types of dance. It should be 'area elastic' in preference to 'point elastic' The flooring must cater for various dance types Delivery & installation before End July 2017 Your proposal should include the above elements however we will expect you to design an appropriate specification based on the available space.
