2021319 - Supply of Software Services to Maintain an Existing Bespoke Case and Document Management System

Descriptions

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) invites tender proposals from suitably qualified software engineering firms, experienced in the development of software systems, to maintain the code for ODPP’s critical bespoke case and document management system (referred to in this current document as ‘the system’). The system has been operational since 2008. The underlying code of the system is primarily C++, though C and Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) are also used, and proficiency will be required in all. The foundation for the current system is an off the shelf offering by the original providers. However, the unique elements required to meet ODPP’s needs led to the system effectively becoming a bespoke one. The original providers have since handed ownership of the software over to ODPP and the contract for maintaining the code has been with another software engineering firm for the last three years. ODPP require the system code to be maintained for the duration of the contract. The contract will be for a period of two years, with an option to renew for a one year period thereafter, by agreement of both parties.
