Bridgend County Borough Council would like to invite tenders for a service to provide housing related support to an accommodation based hostel, a Bridgend County Borough Council owned property, based in Abergarw Road, Brynmenyn provided to Homeless Service Users within Bridgend County Borough. This support Service provides housing related support services to persons who are deemed to be homeless or at risk of homelessness. Potential Service Users must be a resident of Bridgend County Borough or are able to demonstrate a local connection to the area.The Service is to be provided to 16 accommodation based units to provide a homely, safe environment for residents and to assist them with access to services to prolong independent living, including access to 24 hour emergency on-call support response with a sleep in housing management and low level housing related support service out of office hours.The service will also provide 20 units of low level floating support to facilitate the smooth and seamless transition from Brynmenyn to sustainable permanent accommodation within the wider community.The provider must also deliver the out of hours housing management with housing related support and the on-call homelessness service, in accordance with Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996; receiving homelessness enquiries out of office hours and agreeing emergency temporary accommodation where necessary on behalf of the Council.This service will be for vulnerable homeless and potential homeless families and people over 16.
