Non-target terrestrial plants (NTTPs) are defined as non-crop plants located outside the treatment area. Currently when assessing the risk to NTTPs from pesticides, HSE CRD follows SANCO 2002 (Terrestrial Ecotoxicology 2002). Data are requested and used in a risk assessment however the relevance of the assessment in terms of the level of protection is unknown. HSE CRD is requesting research/review into available information including draft guidance documents in order to establish a modern risk assessment scheme for NTTPs.
