A strategic Review - Welsh Public Service Broadcasters and the Creative Industries

The Welsh Government wishes to commission a high level strategic review that will analyse how the policies and strategies of public service broadcasters – and of BBC and S4C in particular - have contributed to the development of the creative industries sector in Wales.The consultant appointed will provide an assessment of the economic impact of BBC and S4C on Wales, and specifically on the creative industries, and consider the impacts of the proposed funding changes and partnership between the BBC and S4C. The Strategic Review should explore opportunities and levers to maximise the future economic contribution of those broadcasters to the creative industries sector in Wales, and make recommendations that will contribute to the development of policies and strategies aimed at strengthening the wider creative industries sector.
