A9/A96 Geodetic Survey.

Descriptions

The contract is for the geodetic survey of the existing and proposed road corridors for the A9 Trunk Road between Perth and Inverness and the A96 Trunk Road between Inverness and Aberdeen. The geodetic survey will be used in the design and assessment of route options for the dualling of the aforementioned Trunk Roads.The successful candidate may be required to be available to carry out supplementary surveys. The corridor of the geodetic survey is approximately 170 km long for the A9 and approximately 160 km long for the A96. The survey encompasses a number of junctions and extensive sections of existing roads. The geodetic survey contractor shall be required to establish a framework of permanent ground markers, produce the surveys at the required scale(s) and prepare suitable plans, digital string models, CAD models and reports. The geodetic survey contractor shall also be responsible for managing and procuring the traffic management required for the geodetic survey.
