City & County of Cardiff invities suitably qualified and experienced organisations to tender for this framework agreement for the Removal, Storage and Disposal of Abandoned Vehicles.At present Cardiff have an ad-hoc arrangement but are looking to award a framework agreement to one company for 3 years.The intention is to set up a framework agreement for the Removal, Storage and Disposal of Abandoned/Unwanted vehicles. The Contractor must respond and effect the removal of vehicles within 24 hours of receiving instructions from the Council. Such instructions may be issued at any time but will normally be issued between 0800 and 1800 hours Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays)Detailed requirements can be found within Schedule 2 - Specification, but to provide a brief overview the Council are intending to award to a contractor that can perform the following:* Removal of abandoned vehicles, unwanted vehicles and highways movable structures.* Storage of removed abandoned vehicles, unwanted vehicles, highway movable structures and associated contents.*Disposal of abandoned vehicles, unwanted vehicles and highways movable structures, when instructede to do so by Council inspectors (for those vehicles deemed fit for immediate destruction) or in accordance with point 5.0 of the specification.
