DFID intend to extend the current contract for this programme by 1 year with effect from August 2019 with an additional budget of 6 800 000 GBP. Of the 6 800 000 GBP, 5 000 000 GBP will be being added directly to the current contracts challenge fund for distribution by the current supplier. The cost and time extension is critical to enable DFID Nepal to target addittional beneficiaries in regions that are currently unserved and underserved, to provide continuity to ongoing activities and to swiftly adapt and respond to the unique opportunities offered by federalism in Nepal.
