Accident Studies
Descriptions
Four Authorities in SE Wales are collaboratively inviting expressions of interest for an Accident Studies service. The Accident Studies service will include individual work packages, delivering accident studies to the Contracting Authority under a routine protocol, and conducting further ad-hoc studies in line with the service as detailed within Appendix 1 Scope of Service. The contract scope includes collecting, validating and managing accident data electronically, producing routine periodic specialist reports to the client, and offering strategic advice. The work will also involve representation of the clients at working groups. Routine reports will be required on fatal road accidents, providing independent commentary on physical road conditions and any consequent advice on maintenance or design. The service provider may be required to liaise directly with other contractors who are providing supplementary services in Appendix 1, on behalf of the Contracting Authority.Further information will be provided in the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.
