Descriptions
The works will involve ground investigation (GI) cable percussion boreholes, rotary core holes, Cone Penetrometer Testing (CPT), hand-held window sampling, geophysical surveying along the length of the embankments and on the dry and wet sides of the embankments also. The purpose of the ground investigation is to assess the condition of the existing embankments and determine the suitability of the embankments to withstand a future major flood event and to inform future design.
