The City of Cardiff Council’s Adult Community Learning (ACL) service has a mandatory requirement to capture the outcomes for learners, from the delivery of educational courses across the city. The information that needs to be captured covers the following criteria – completion, attainment and success rates.The City of Cardiff Council wish to procure an Adult Community Learning software package to record and manage information throughout the academic life of the learner. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) identifies and highlights the key requirements that will be needed to deliver the services within the proposed contract. The City of Cardiff Council wish to engage with suppliers who are able to meet the requirements specified and discuss the development of a software package through the use of open discovery days and clarification questions.The successful package/provider will be required to deliver the below services and meet the Council’s key requirements:-Enable curriculum planning, delivery and the reporting of data and information-Streamline learner data processes and automates tasks-Provide a detailed online prospectus- Facilitate web enquiries, applications, enrolments and payments-Manage examinations and submissions, timetabling and attendance-Ensure Statutory returns (LLWR – Lifelong Learning Wales Record) or equivalent are recorded-Provide additional Learner Support (ALS) where necessary-Unique learner number (ULN) management-Provide an email and text messaging service-Web progressions-Active Directory integration-Produce and develop Business intelligence-Interface configuration and branding including workflow-Support services-SQL server platformsWherever possible, innovation is welcomed in the development of solutions to meet requirements detailed in this PIN.The City of Cardiff Council would like to inform potential tenderers that as part of this proposed tender the Council are willing to consider a hosted solution.
