The National Advocacy and Advice Service will provide children and young people in Wales with a single point of contact via telephone, text and instant messaging seven days a week. The project will run over a three year period. It will build upon and complement current services such as Childline, CLIC and the Children's Comissioner. The National Advocacy and Advice Service will offer another means for children and young people to access information, advice and advocacy, through free phone lines, free texting and instant messaging. The service will be more than an information service. It will provide advice and advocacy as appropriate. It will signpost to other services as and when appropriate, however it will be necessary at times for the service to contact another service on behalf of a child or young person (with their consent). All aspects of the service must involve young people e.g. planning, delivery, producing information, monitoring the service, advising on marketing etc. The Advocacy and Advice Service contract will consist of three interliked LOTS. Organisations invited to tender may provide a tender for one or any combination of these LOTS.
