Caerphilly County Borough Council, Children Services, Social Services Directorate, are seeking expressions of interest from Potential Providers for the following service.The provision of an Advocacy and Independent Visitor Service.Advocacy - To provide children’s and young people’s advocacy and representation service for children looked after and children in need including children with disabilities, receiving a service from Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Children’s Services, that ensures that impartial representation, information and advice are available.The Service Provider will provide a service to children in need including children with disabilities, looked after children aged 0 to 18 and care leavers receiving a service from the Leaving Care Team. Children under the age of 5 may be referred by adults who consider that it would be in the child’s best interest to have an advocate. Independent Visitor Service - To provide an Independent Visiting Service for children and young people looked after by the Local Authority, Assist the Local Authority to achieve its’ duties under Schedule 2 Part II Section 17(1) of the Children Act 1989 and Section 16 of the Children and Young Persons Act 2008. The Service Provider will provide the service to looked after children who have been identified by their social worker as having little or no contact with their families or it is deemed to be in their best interests to have support from a person independent of the Local Authority. TUPE may apply to this contract
