Portsmouth City Council, ‘the Authority’, has awarded a contract to deliver an Advocacy Support Service.The aim of the service is to achieve the following objectives:a) Independent Advocacy;b) Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA);c) Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) — including IMCA in Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS);d) Relevant Person Representative;e) Advocacy for Parents at Child Protection Case Conferences.The Contract has a commencement date of 20.6.2016. The initial Contract period will be for 3 years with the possibility of extending the term by a further 1 year to a maximum total term of 4 years in increments to be agreed, subject to the agreement and performance of both parties.
