DANTE required data links of varying bandwidths from UbuntuNet Alliance PoPs in Nairobi, Dar Es Salaam, Maputo, Kampala, Kigali, Mtunzini, Cape Town and Johannesburg to a number of locations within Eastern and Southern Africa, including (but not limited to) Windhoek, Lusaka, Kinshasa, Blantyre and Gaborone, for an inital term of 3 years although longer term IRUs were invited and considered subject to commerical considerations and overall affordability of the total solution.
