Negotiation - continuity of the Airwave Radio service must be maintained until the roll out of the new national ESN service being provided by the Home Office. As this service is provided by a sole supplier then a negotiated approach was necessary. Extension of term -Earlier this year the Home Office announced that it would need to extend the Airwave contract and push back National Shut Down (NSD) from December 2022 until December 2026.
