JMH Medical and Counselling Facility Refurbishmen c.222 sqm GFA The Works comprisea) the stripping out of an existing large open plan gymnasium and changing areas/showers on the first floor of the John Count McCormack Hall above the Student Union Bar and kitchen on the Athlone Institute of Technoclogy live campus; andb) The new proposals consists of refurbiushing the vacant area with two facilities - a Student Health centre comprising four medical consultation rooms and ancillary support spaces and stores; a Student Counselling facility comprising five consultation rooms and support spaces, physiotherapy room, a main reception, waiting area and wcs. In addition the works will comprise formation of new window openings in the existing east façade at first floor level, and formation of new service openings and new rooflights openings in the existing composite panel roof. All works will be carried out in a live campus environment and are adjacent to public thoroughfares. All works will be complete and the project in service to support the academic cycle of 2020/21.
