Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council is leading a collaborative procurement exercise for the Supply of Tyres & Services, on behalf of Public Sector organisations in Wales. This is being supported by Value Wales (Procurement), an Agency of the Welsh Assembly Government.It is anticipated that a significant number of public bodies in Wales and devolved government, may, if they wish to do so, utilise the Framework Agreement. Such organisations may include (but will not be limited to) government departments, NHS bodies, agencies, local and emergency authorities (police and fire), educational establishments, and utilities.A list of Welsh Public Sector Organisations entitled to participate can be found at:www.buy4wales.co.uk/UsefulResources/contractsframeworks/organisationlist/poaplist.html?cat=14318The public sector in Wales operates upwards of 15,000 vehicles ranging from small cars and vans up to 8 Wheel Refuse vehicles. The framework shall comprise of a tyre supply, fitment and repair service, together with all other related activities as agreed between the parties.The framework will be an All Wales framework, however, suppliers will be able to submit tenders for a local supply basis, as detailed in the tender documentation.Users of the current framework are detailed in the tender documentation.Supplier Awareness Days will be held in Bridgend on Monday 14th March 2011, and in Newtown, Powys on Tuesday 15th March 2011.
