Descriptions
This requirement is for an open jet, closed circuit wind tunnel for an anechoic chamber at the University of Southampton.The work will include the wind tunnel ducting, fan and drive system, in-line heat exchanger (to couple with the building chiller system), turning vanes, duct silencers and necessary honeycomb and screens. Also included will be all instrumentation required to operate the wind tunnel facility.The expected delivery will be a functional wind tunnel installed in the anechoic chamber achieving the aerodynamic performance specified in this document, incorporating the acoustic treatments specified. The responsibly is for the aerodynamic performance only and implementing the acoustic treatment specified by the University of Southampton.
