South Wales Fire & Rescue Service was formed in 1996 through the amalgamation of the former Welsh Brigades that covers an area of nearly 1085 square miles (300,000 hectares) and serves a population of just over 1.4 million.Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service helps to protect a population of approximately 870,000 people over an area of approximately 4,500 square miles.South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS) and Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) require insulated anti-entanglement wire cutter sets to be situated on their breathing apparatus sets.The anti-entanglement sets will consist of the following components:•Insulated wire cutters.•Lanyard attached to the wire cutters and a holding pouch.•Holding pouch that is attached to the waist band of therespective BA sets for each of the services.Please refer to the attached documents for further instruction and details of our specific requirements.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=14497.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
