The NPTCBC school support services team (Education Development & Inclusion Service) has responded to the Welsh Government promotion of Education for Sustainable Development & Global Citizenship (ESDGC) and worked with all schools in developing a whole school ethos and culture of ESDGC. Global Citizenship has been identified by our school Inspectorate Services, Estyn, as an area that needed further development in Welsh schools. In response to this EDIS has promoted global citizenship in its schools and strongly believes that by engaging young people critically in and with our increasingly interdependent world, we can support them to become global citizens with greater knowledge of the challenges of global inequalities. Through this project outlined below we seek to work alongside teaching staff to further strengthen the development of our young people as Global Citizens and support their local communities to become Confident Global learning Communities.
