Conwy County Borough Council is a unitary authority that is both a Waste Collection Authority and Waste Disposal Authority under the Environmental Protection Act 1990. The Authority collects and sorts a range of recyclable waste materials from household and commercial recycling kerbside collections, a network of recycling bring bank sites and from 2 household recycling centres. The authority has various arrangements in place with materials re-processors for the treatment of wastes and recyclable materials and is now looking to operate an Approved List of Service Providers where the Authority will offer the sale of available materials for a specified time period (e.g. 1 month) to all Service Providers on the Approved List.Some of the materials currently available (but not limited to) for recycling include:-mixed plastics-mixed glass-steel cans-aluminium cans-paper (available for sale from April 2015 upon end of current contract)-cardboard (available for sale from April 2015 upon end of current contract)NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=20574.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
