AQP for the Cataract Direct Referral Service Autumn 2015 Window for Leicester City CCG (LC CCG), East Leicestershire & Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group (ELR CCG) and West Leicestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (WL CCG) Reference LLR/AQP/CDRS3 Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (Arden & GEM CSU) on behalf of Leicester City CCG, West Leicestershire CCG and East Leicestershire and Rutland CCG are seeking suitably qualified and experienced providers for a Cataract Direct Referral Service. The aim of the service is to signpost patients with cataracts to the Cataract Booking Management Centre by completing the required referral form, so they can be booked in for a pre-operative assessment in secondary care and to provide patients with a choice of providers closer to their home who can deliver post-operative follow up appointments. The aims and objectives of this service are: •To complete the cataract referral paperwork within CCG referral guidelines and send this to the Cataract Booking Management Centre to enable the patient to be booked in for preoperative assessment. •Provide follow up post-operative appointments in a community care setting and forward assessment to relevant provider •Ensure consistent management of all patients to access cataract treatment and follow up care, in line with service specification and referral guidelines •Offer high quality follow up care to all cataract patients who are referred, regardless of ethnicity, language, disability, sexual orientation, religious or personal circumstances In securing services from Providers, the authority needs assurance of competence, quality and safety standards, just as it would for services secured under a formal tender process. Any provider will be eligible to join a list of qualified providers subject to demonstrating competency against the authority’s specified criteria. The list will be open to new entrants to the market and previous unsuccessful applicants, subject to assessment. The successful provider(s) will be expected to sign the standard NHS contract, accepting all terms and conditions. It should be noted that under the Any Qualified Provider model, there will be no guarantees of volume or payment in the contracts awarded. This contract is available until 31st March 2017. Providers wishing to submit an ITT to deliver this service need to log onto Arden GEM CSUs procurement portal (Bravo):- https://ardengemcsu.bravosolution.co.uk/web/login.html at least 72 hours before the deadline for the ITT submissions of 5pm on Wednesday 18th November 2015.
