The study will focus on a number of key areas within the Newark and Sherwood Local Authority District, The study will provide evidence to support future funding bids / applications to assist with the levelling up agenda and substantial information to develop a community engagement and regeneration plan and supports the creation of vibrant and self-sufficient local communities where residents look out for each other and actively contribute to their local area. Adopting the ABCD approach allows the council to develop a sustainable model for community development focused on the strengths and potential within a community. The project will develop our 'place based' working with partners to identify and develop a strengths-based register of community assets in a locality - covering both physical assets and individuals, groups and networks who contribute to sustainable, thriving communities.
