Staffordshire Moorlands District Council wish to engage with a suitable organisation / operator to form a partnership arrangement for the management and delivery of the Council's Markets in Leek, Staffordshire Moorlands. The market operation is currently managed in-house and the Authority is seeking to engage with potential operators through a Competitive Dialogue procedure to explore future operating options for the indoor and outdoor Street markets.The Council's objectives from the project are to;— Protect and further develop the performance of each market asset by creating a sustainable partnership/s and operating model;— Reduce the cost of the service and reach a breakeven point for the Council;— To further establish Leek as an attractive, vibrant and successful market town and enhance the retail offer.The engagement of the partner was proposed to be agreed under a licence agreement of up to 3 to 5 years.
