The WMG group at the University of Warwick has a requirement for the supply of equipment relating to the Automation Systems Demonstrator (ASD) project, which requires equipment to perform automatic assembly operations on battery packs with reconfigurable capability for other applications in the future. The initial requirement includes a need for proprietary electrical linear slides / cylinders, design and build of a mechanical fixture, and supply and commissioning of control systems software. It is intended that this contract shall be established as a framework agreement with a duration of 2 years with 2 optional 1 year extensions. This will enable the University to call of a series of requirements over a period of time for different related projects (subject to funding). The framework is also split into lots for supply only, design and build, and commissioning and control systems. Suppliers may tender for one or more lots. The University reserves the right to appoint more than one supplier across all lots. This is a project funded by Catapult. The final award of this contract will be subject to funding being approved, if the funds are not approved we reserve the right to not award the contract.
