AWARD of Design/supply/installation of shelving at STORIEL / Gwynedd Museum & Art Gallery, Bangor

We wish to appoint a suitably experienced organisation or individual to design, procure and install shelving in various places within STORIEL and associated store, as described by the information and plan accompanying this document.The shelving will be open shelving that will be able to store museum artefacts, and conform to the latest BS standards.There are various related works which will need to be priced for separately. They are;(a) design and fit shelving in second floor of STORIEL. CAD drawing available in Appendix 2.The shelving will need to accommodate open shelving for social history items including ceramics. Please provide option for with lockable glass doors to the front of the shelving. Textile boxes and rolled textiles, boxed archaeological items and art works.(b) design and fit shelving in cellar taking into account existing slate shelving which forms part ofhe architectural history of the building. See Appendix 1 & 2. Archaeological stones will be in this store – some boxed, some quern stones etc(c) design and fit long span shelving to store additional furniture within our offsite store. See Appendix 3 & 4.(d) take down and relocate existing shelving. See Appendix 5.
