Bailey Hill is the site of a former Norman Castle, it is a Scheduled Monument and an important greenspace in the heart of Mold Conservation Area. Flintshire County Council are looking for a contractor to remove an existing redundant play area from the inner bailey, and installation of a new play area, in a new location on the outer bailey. The play equipment and furniture for the project have been pre-purchased by Flintshire County Council. The site is archaeologically sensitive and preconstruction archaeology work has been undertaken ahead of the play area being installed. Works include the removal of a play area, installation of play equipment and furniture supplied by FCC, supply and installation of new fencing and pathways, soiling, seeding, and planting works.
